"After years of feeling like I had plateaued in my sports I decided to get a coach and I am so glad that I found Emily! Emily builds awesome training guides that are grueling! She has helped me get stronger in the gym which has allowed me to crush my sports, and build a better athletic baseline. After a couple months of working with her I placed third in a twenty mile mountain bike race this summer!
I am a PhD student studying Neuroscience so I am extremely busy and don’t have time to always think about building out my food plans or research the best foods to eat. Yet, with Emily’s help I have found this really great way of eating that feels sustainable and supports my endurance, energy levels, and mental health. We are slowly working to bring down my body fat levels, and using a plan that works with my exact physiology.
One thing that is often not talked about when getting “in-shape” is how much our mental health affects our ability to lose and keep off weight. By working with Em I have been building a better baseline of what foods affect my body and how, what emotional eating looks like, and how to cope in a healthy way with daily life stressors. I can't recommend her enough and can’t wait to keep learning from her! She is funny, high spirited, and determined not to let you fail. As a friend of Emily, I see her passion for health and fitness. I work out pretty regularly and am naturally pretty small. One thing I have always struggled with is bloating. I finally became frustrated enough with it that I asked Em for some advice. I told her that I wasn’t looking to lose any weight and overall was pretty happy with my body and routine. I explained my bloating issues— always felt like I appeared pregnant almost; found myself ‘sucking in’ often. It’s a frustrating thing when you work hard on fitness and eat pretty well (or so you think). Emily immediately told me I’m probably not getting enough protein and that I should drink more water— she wrote up a meal guide for me and with following her guide tailored to my body’s needs it completely resolved my constant bloating issue! It didn’t take long AT ALL to see results. I felt better and less self conscious about it within a month! Occasionally when I let my nutrition slip by the wayside, my bloat comes back and I remember that I need to be eating MORE …and a balanced diet!

I told her that I wanted to raise my metabolism because my metabolic rate was low, so she was able to adjust my nutrition based on my body and how I react to different amounts of food. If it was not for coaching with her, I probably would not have seen the progress I have in only about a month, and I know it’s only going to continue. In three weeks I went down about 8 lbs but I can feel my body changing and getting stronger. “I’ve tried multiple different diet plans...Keto, WW, low carb, no carb, and multiple food trackers. My problem wasn’t with exercising, I was doing good with that. My frustration was building and every week I would try something new. I’m in my lower forties and didn’t even know if it was hormonal which was causing me not to lose.
A friend put me in contact with Emily and she talked to me about macros...basically I was like “Well I tried everything else, what do I have to lose” and I’ve never looked back. She gives you an update every week with macros based off weight and pictures and how you’re feeling. I can text her and ask questions, if I’m feeling “off” she will put me back on track. I’ve been with her since mid-May and have lost close to 6-7 lbs. That may not seem like a lot to most people but it’s a slow process...However pictures speak a thousand words.
