MY PHILOSOPHY
Be Patient.
A transformation isn’t going to happen overnight, or even in a few months. It requires a lot of things: a plan, effort, motivation, discipline, self-love, and TIME. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither will the best version of yourself.
Focus on YOU.
Comparison is the thief of joy. If you are always comparing yourself to the next person, you will never be happy with who and where you are in life. Focus on what YOU are doing and do it because you want to. The only person you need to be better than is yesterday’s you.
Own Your Accomplishments.
Validate your efforts by taking pride in what you do and how hard you work for what you want—this goes for everything in life, not just fitness. Even if you’re the only one who notices, you’re allowed to be proud of all your accomplishments, big or small.
Be Your Own Motivation.
People often ask me how I stay so motivated, and it’s because I am always pushing myself to be even better than I was yesterday. Motivation should come from within—if you really want to change your life, you will.
Have FUN.
Most importantly, you should be having fun on your fitness journey! Of course you will have to put in work and time, and it will require discipline, but it should be a process that you enjoy! Working out and eating food for fuel should never feel like a punishment. I focus on teaching my clients how to live a balanced life, because a balanced life is a HAPPY LIFE.
As A Competitor
I’ve competed in the NPC Bikini division the last few years, and placed in the Top 10 at the North American Championship in 2020. Competing is a lot of work, but it’s extremely rewarding, and something I truly enjoy. I am taking a break from this extreme lifestyle for the time being, to enjoy different aspects of life, but hope to make my way back to the stage one day!
